A Performance in Probability and Chance
Items needed to perform:
Table
Chair
One standard 52 deck of cards, preferably a new pack
Chart of all possible card pair combinations
Multiple sheets of 11x14 paper
1 6B Charcoal Pencil
Instructions:

Place your deck of cards down in front of you and place your chart and pencil next to your dominant hand side

Begin by taking cards out of packaging and remove jokers and any extra cards that the deck may contain

Count and ensure all 52 cards are in the deck

Shuffle deck to ensure all cards are not in order, any technique will do

Place cards back on top of the table face down

Make note of the day, month and year that you begin this performance on your chart
EX. (7/27/2020)
7.Take the top two cards and place them on the table left to right so the first card is on the left and second card is on the right
8.Check off the pair on your chart and write down the suit and number (ex. 4A5S) on your 11x14 sheet of paper. Make sure when you write you start in the top left as though you are writing a letter or paper
9.Return cards back to the deck
10. Shuffle deck
11.Repeat step 7-10
12. You will eventually get card combinations you’ve already written down and checked off when this happens simply just put a check on your 11x14 sheet(s) of paper and repeat steps 7-10
13.The performance is over when all combinations are cataloged.
14.Title your 11x14 sheet(s) of paper the date you began to the date you ended the performance
Ex. (7/27/2020 - 7/28/2020)
This performance does NOT need to be completed in one sitting with the amount of combinations possible and constant shuffling this performance could take hours, days, weeks, months, years, decades, a lifetime.
